Yola - Two kids arrested by the police in connection with Thursday’s bomb blast in
Yola, the Adamawa State capital have narrated how they were recruited by Boko Haram and paid N2 500 to commit the crime, reports Punch.
The boys, aged between nine and 15 years told police officers that an unknown man paid four of them N2 500 to drop the explosive at a specific place in Bachure suburb, near the Army Barracks mainly inhabited by retired military personnel.
The boys, however, said the the bag containing the explosive was too heavy for them to carry, so they wanted to sell it to a dustbin scavenger, whom they ran into at the nearby mechanic workshop.

It was in the course of the negotiation that the content in the bag exploded shattering the scavenger's legs and injuring two of the children.
While two of kids fled, the other injured two were arrested by the police.
The police have also arrested the dustbin scavenger and he is helping the police in their investigation.
